I wrote these poems during my early 20s. Probably half of this stuff really happened and the other half is my imagination or circumstances around me. Sex is hard to ignore. Our desires are part of us and a part of being alive. Unfortunately, these desires cause a lot of trouble. Maybe that's what I was trying to tell myself when I wrote this poetry. Love is more than a sexual roller coaster. Sometimes. Looking back, I can see that because this was before my Kung Fu and Buddhism, I wasn't able to easily head a different direction when I got stuck in some of these poems. The previous poetry book, WINTER FLOWERS, was about love blooming too soon. Looking back some more, it would appear that if I'd put less emphasis on the sex, I might have made better choices? Thats "behind sight."
